OUR STORY

When you are raised on the Westside of Turlock, CA there is a nostalgic feeling when you smell fresh baked pan dulce. You can hear the bread-lady honk her horn, see kids running at full speed towards the truck as she yells “Conchas” at the top of her lungs for the whole neighborhood to hear. For childhood friends Annie Di Grazia and Martha Jauregui, pink conchas were the pan of choice. There is just something special about the pink sugar perfectly shaped like a conch shell on top of a fluffy sweet roll. With both women having a sweet tooth, they wanted to fuse their childhood with a modern day flair. Creating a new treat, integrating pink conchas and fresh ice cream into sandwiches. It consists of treating all the ingredients with integrity and transforming them into a perfect treat. At Conchitas, it’s about emphasizing Mexican traditional culinary ingredients while making it picture perfect and delicious.

Kindergarten buddies, Annie and Martha never let their surroundings determine their future. Raised in a neighborhood stricken with gang violence these two chose a different path. Both women have graduated from college and work in communications and marketing. Always remembering the limited opportunity they encountered, but overpowering those limitations with joyful childhood memories especially those accompanied by a conchita. ​
