You can hear the bread-lady honk her horn, see kids running at full speed towards the truck as she yells “Conchas” at the top of her lungs for the whole neighborhood to hear. For childhood friends Annie Di Grazia and Martha Jauregui, pink conchas were the pan of choice. There is just something special about the pink sugar perfectly shaped like a conch shell on top of a fluffy sweet roll. With both women having a sweet tooth, they wanted to fuse their childhood with a modern day flair. Creating a new treat, integrating pink conchas and fresh ice cream into sandwiches.
